MLB 2K8 Season 1 (Season 8 overall)

Well, it seems like we’re in some 12 step process with this baseball franchise,
but this year I think we can expect some results. This is year two of Ben Brinkman’s
three year process at 2K to bring the franchise up to par with what he left at EA,
MVP 2005. We all should have some fun with a completely retooled hitting system,
new pitching controls, and a new fielding interface. We can only hope they fixed
the small things, and I’m guessing (hoping) they did. So let’s get ready to play some ball!
We will be continuing to play on the 2k servers from the game, so we have the ability
to control sliders, rotations, and have the ability to stat track for awards. I’m hoping
we can try some new stuff I’ve picked up elsewhere on the outer web and use some of
the new features offered by 2K8. Communication is always key for success and I’m hoping
we can get off to a great start this year with some great players. We have a great core
group here at XLL and I’m sure we’ll get some great new blood involved here as well. Power
rankings will make it in this year as well, I’ll be writing them up along with anyone else
that would like to get involved. The MLB B.O.G. will also be in full force for season 8 of
MLB here at XLL, I’ll be getting that together once we get the ball rolling on sign ups.
